Burley Concerts

Since gaining planning permission for a footbridge across the Wharfe, the Burley Bridge Association (BBA) is holding a series of fundraising concerts:

You can book online at http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/burley-bridge-association or in person at the Coffee Station Burley, Just Books on Market Square in Otley, or Just Books on Brook Street in Ilkley.

Steeton Male Voice Choir
Saturday 13 April 7.30pm
St Marys Parish Church, Burley-in-Wharfedale

This prestigious choir is one of the best in Yorkshire and their concerts often sell out, so please book your tickets early to save disappointment on the night! Tickets are £10 and include light refreshments. The acoustics in the church are ideal for the choir, who specifically requested the venue as the best in Burley to show off their fine vocals! Folk Concert with Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow
Queen’s Hall, Main Street, Burley-in-Wharfedale
Saturday 11 May 8pm
Bar provided

As Radio 2 ‘Best Folk Duo’ finalists in 2018, Belinda and Heidi are rated very highly by many in the folk music business, with Mojo magazine saying they are ‘One of British folk music’s mightiest combinations’, and the Independent saying their music is ‘defiant, robust, northern, poetical, political folk music for the times we live in’.

Coming from Marsden, Belinda and Heidi are keen walkers when they have the opportunity, so are keen to support the Burley Bridge project.

Tickets cost £14. Again, early booking is recommended as most of their Autumn tour dates were fully booked, particularly at Yorkshire venues. Find out more: http://www.ohooleyandtidow.com
