Burley Christmas Market, Craft Fair and Lights On
Saturday 1st December 2018 1-6pm
Further to our announcement earlier this year that after 15
years, BADCOT was no longer able to run the Burley Christmas Market, we’re delighted to confirm that the Burley-in-Wharfedale Community Trust (BWCT) has agreed to take it on, along with the lights switch on, which has been run by BWCT for many years. Nick Turnbull is to continue organising the Craft Fair.
As always, the afternoon promises to be a wonderful community event, packed with enticing stalls of festive food and artisan gifts, rides for children, an appearance from Santa and performances from choirs and the Ukelele Jammers.
We would like to say a big thank you to the BWCT for ensuring the continuity of the market as an integral part of this fabulous event.
We’d also like to pay tribute to our co-founder, Roger Charnley, who started the Christmas Market in 2002 to complement the annual Lights On and worked tirelessly for many years to build it into today’s success.
